Could This Be A Pemphis @ Chek Jawa?.....
I came across this plant during the training walk at Chek Jawa this morning. At 1st glance, I was thinking if this could be Mentigi (Pemphis acidula)?
I have checked Ria's post on Pemphis and it does look similar. Hmmm.....anyone would like to enlighten its ID?
I found it at the high water mark on the sandy shore. It is bushy looking and as tall as 1.5m.
These are the leaves of the plant.
and what's left of the flowers that have withered.
It is delightful to see the rare Mentigi (if it is one), as it is listed as Critically Endangered in our Red List of threatened plants of Singapore.

Cheers! : )
Thanks Joe for the confirmation! :o)
Was told that this could be one planted by Nparks from the seeds of the last tree at Changi.
If you go Pulau Biola, check out the few there, i.e. if they are still alive : )
