The Pipefish That Has Gone To The Dark Side?!?!.....
Before today's dive at Hantu with The Hantu Bloggers, HB has been wishing to see the Big White Sea Whip look-a-like Pipefish that some of us came across during the 4th Anniversary dive. Well.....her wish was almost granted at today's dive.....well almost.....why? Because did managed to find her a BIG Pipefish but it is not the White one. Here's the shot of that Big Pipefish that we saw today;
Yes, it's Black and looks just like a twig lying on the silty slope! And here's a closer look of its head;
Hmmm.....I jokingly said that it's a Pipefish that has gone to the dark side! :oP
Besides this big Pipefish, I also came across a small hairy one.
It was very well camouflaged!
After missing out the Seahorses during last month dive, I get to see Three today! Here's one very pregnant Papa;
And besides these two fishes, also sighted a Boxfish which is too shy and too fast for my camera. So I shot a video when I came across this juvenile Six-banded Angelfish which happened to be my 1st sighting of it in local water!
Sighted a few Flatworms and this fellow unfortunately has a tear.
Also came across this beautiful looking sponge!
Of course, there's also my favourite nudibranch!
It has been sometimes since I last saw a Chromodoris fidelis.
My Third sighting of this nudibranch, Cadlinella ornatissima. We saw Two today!
This is an Emma nudibranch, Hypselodoris emma.
A tiny Bornella anguilla spotted by HB. Looks like it was having a lunch of the orange Hydroids!
And my dive buddy, JH, had her wish granted to see the nudibranch, Tritonia bollandi. We saw not One but THREE today! Here they are;
By the way, the third one was only noticed when I took a closer look at above pic after we have surfaced.
It's another good dive again at Hantu! Alas, have to miss out the next dive cos will be away diving at Tioman.
